On October 9, 2024, we are implementing an alternative schedule to foster our students' growth and meet diploma requirements. 10th and 11th graders will take the PSAT, while seniors participate in community service projects under the guidance of their A.C.T. mentors. Freshmen will gain a historical perspective on a field trip to the Indiana Military Museum. The Southwest High Schools Alumni Association Board of Directors are looking for nominations for the SWHSAA Distinguished Alumni awards. Nominations are always open and members are selected in the spring yearly. Criteria: Any graduate (living or deceased) of a high school located within the four townships of the current Southwest School Corporation (Haddon, Hamilton, Gill and Turman) can be nominated for admission. Nominations will not be publicly disclosed. The Board of Directors will keep a record of all nominees for consideration, so another nomination is not required UNLESS something has changed in the original application. Selection: The Board of Directors will induct a living member from each township as well as one posthumous recipient on a rotating basis, for a total of five (5) nominees each year.
