Latest football update from Coach Horn:
Sullivan Middle School had another great night of football. Both teams came away with Wins.
Purple completed the task with a 36-6 win over North Knox. Several Arrows scored offensively and defensively. William Davis had a pick 6 (return for a touchdown) for a 60-yard return. Tanner Boyll threw several touchdown passes and, on defense, had a pick 6 for a 70-yard return. Hunter Sappington earned more ice cream with a kick return, resulting in a touchdown. Others adding scores for the Arrows include Jensen Mckee, Lane Simmons, and Koby Pigg. On defense, the Arrows shut down the run and caused numerous fumbles, resulting in a recovery. The line was led by Mason Ridgway, Ayden Walls, and Hunter Hicks.
The gold team came out on fire, and the Arrows shut down everything North Knox had with a 30-0 win. Maddox Grise connected with Tevin Boone on several touchdown passes. Tevin Boone on defense had a pick-six for a 45-yard return.
Tyler Sapp made his mark in the endzone with a great catch from Maddox.
Wyatt Ward caught a bomb and took it to the 1-yard line. In the next play, Spenser McCammon said, "It's my turn." and took the handoff and put his name on the scoreboard for 6 points.
The Gold defense just couldn't let North Knox score., Carter Barbrick, Carter Keller, Landon Fagg, and Jameson McCracken ensured North Knox didn't get past the Arrow Defense. A host of the Gold line led by Kole Baker and Peyton Norris camped out in the North Knox backfield, shutting down the run.

From Coach Horn:
Sullivan Middle School Arrows handled business, taking home a double Win.
The Gold Team played the Terre Haute Patriots and won 14-12
Tevan Boone scored first with an incredible walk-in touchdown at the buzzer and again Tevan Boone in the third qtr with a 60-yard rushing touchdown. Tyler Sapp sealed the win with a great catch to barrel his way through many defenders to get the points.
The Purple team played the West Vigo Vikings and won 42-14
Purple hit the gas and did not let up. A host of Sullivan players scored and kept scoring.
Could anyone miss the dual threat of Braden Simpon and Tanner Boyll standing at 7 feet tall? (not really that tall) Both had several catches to go with their Touchdowns.
In his second game back, Maddox Grise put on a great show and connected on several long passes to keep the game under Arrow's control.
Jensen Mckee had close to 200 hundred yards rushing with a few touchdowns.
Hunter Sappington and Kody Pigg could not be kept out of the endzone both scoring points for Sullivan.
Sullivan Defense decimated the competition. Mason Ridgway, Hunter Hicks, and Ayden Walls could not avoid the Vikings backfield. While the line was making sure no runs were getting through, Jesse and Jordan Piatt, along with William Davis, tore down the Viking's passing game, Holding the Vikings to 14 points.
The coaching staff and I couldn't be happier with the level of play and sportsmanship from our players last night.
As always, Arrow Up!!!
